Recently, Main Street Senior Living played a pivotal role in assisting with the acquisition of a 144-unit community offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care services, as well as an 83-unit community specializing in assisted living and memory care. Both communities were previously run by large national operators.
In March 2023, our team took over the operations management of the first asset. Using proven turnaround processes, we transformed the community’s monthly operating performance from an $80,000 net operating income (NOI) loss in February 2023 to a positive $120,000 NOI by April 2023.
After taking over the second asset in October 2023, we improved the community’s monthly operating performance from $72,000 in NOI to $193,000 within 30 days.
Main Street Senior Living has contributed to the successful portfolio turnaround for a nationally recognized private equity firm. Over a span of 10 months, we added over $43 million in additional value to a portfolio of more than 20-year-old communities located in Washington and Southern California.
Before these successes, our team designed, developed, and managed the operations of a 60-resident community in Tucson, Arizona. This groundbreaking community, which opened in 2008, offered assisted living and Alzheimer’s care services. In just 12 months, we led the community from being an empty skilled nursing property to stabilization, maintaining one of the highest occupancy levels in the market due to its non-traditional operating design and pricing structure.
Prior to this, our team designed, developed, and successfully managed The Villas at La Canada, a unique 17.5-acre assisted and independent senior living neighborhood concept in Tucson, Arizona. This model has since been studied and replicated by several successful companies within the industry.

Prior to the formation of his senior housing management company, Kendall held top-level management positions for Senior Lifestyle Corporation, Horizon Bay Management Corporation, Atria Senior Living, and Life Care Centers of America, four of the nation’s largest and most successful senior housing and skilled nursing organizations, where he was responsible for the development and operation of a number of the most profitable communities, regions and divisions within these leading organizations.
Aside from his work with Main Street, Jamison is an active participant in Argentum and the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing and Care Industry (NIC).
